This homeowner didn't want to stray from the natural northwest colors so we stuck with a neutral color, but decided to bring out some of the architectural details and trim by using a lighter color rather than the same or darker. Used sparingly, the trim accented the house in just the right places and gave it a cleaner, more crisp look.

This house had been yellow for years, and the owners were ready for a change! Because this older home has such charming details on it's exterior, it was easy to showcase some of that by the use of color. The "Dill Green" accent was a fun splash of color to go with the purple-grey tones on the rest of the house.

This home office was a fun one to create with the homeowner. She wanted something fun, but sophisticated. By choosing to separate the room with a chair rail, my creative "juices" were able to flow much more freely! I was able to work together with the homeowner to streamline some of their organizational techniques and create a fun and productive environment all in one space.

The piece of inspiration for this home office was the combination of the vintage school house poster depicting the metamorphosis of the butterfly as well as the desire to have the desk centrally located in the office. Using the desk as a focal point, we found a fabric that would work with the poster and be a fun splash of design and color all at once. With everything being wireless now, it was easy to create this environment without worrying about a lot of cords and plug ins.

In this room, the homeowner desired a way to separate the wall space due to 9' ceilings! Tall ceilings are a blessing, but a curse at the same time when you want a splash of color but don't want to overdo it! With a little painters tape and patience, these fun and playful stripes incorporate the bedding and are the child's favorite colors!

This home is a rental and needed some color updates, but the owner desired something that wasn't "splashy" but rather something that was simple and subdued. Also, the owner decided to do away with the shutters so we only had small amounts of trim and facia boards to work with when coming up with contrasting trim/body paint colors. The end result was something updated, clean and crisp.

This room makeover was a donation for a great cause! The changes made included having the walls painted, clearing out some clutter, adding window treatments, adding lighting and finding the accent color - red!

The owner of this kitchen wanted a paint color that tied in their gorgeous surroundings as well as show off their newly remodeled space. Amazing what a can or two of paint will do (and, as you'll see, a new dining table and chairs!).

"I wanted to redecorate my daughters bedroom from a 1980's Laura Ashley pink and white theme to a more current theme. Shannon knew just what to do and turned it into a Tuscan style enchanting guest bedroom. She selected a warm and cozy yellow color of paint, which set the theme. She had the fun idea of refinishing the small dresser/desk and drop leaf table with an antiqued black finish and then helped me select black furnishings to match. She gave me great tips on where to find reasonably priced lamps, pillows, fabrics and such to finish off the room. This new construction boasts a wonderful use of space. The yellow color chosen for the walls on the entire first floor compliment - not overtake - the furniture and accessories in this home.

This new construction home was already a winner from the start. The yellow color was the "cherry" on top! See the two photos below...

This home lacked curb appeal. The shutters did not showcase the beautiful large windows on the front of the house with the monochromatic green color choice. By choosing traditional colors, curb appeal was almost instant on this home!

Kingwood Bible Church had not seen a new paint color in many years. The challenge was to work with architecture from a previous decade, but somehow bring the church into modern times by color changes alone. It worked!

The owner of this home wanted a visual "pop" of color upon entering their front door. With the accent wall off in the distance, it gave just the right visual impact without overwhelming the space. Combined with the neutral earth tone colors for the rest of the spaces, it created a whimsical yet peaceful environment.

Paint, mirrors & accessories updated the look for this bathroom!

Suffice it to say almost anything would be an improvement on the dark paneling, but we did more than just improve the space. With $700 and labor provided by the homeowners themselves, this space took us 48 hours to complete. The beams were once lost on the ceiling, but are now showcased thanks to the contrasting colors on the walls. I know for a fact that the value of the home was increased by far more than the $700 it took for this transformation!

The owners of this home wanted a look created around a central piece of inspiration - artwork purchased at a local art fair. In addition, the owners did not want to purchase a new couch set, so we worked with what they had instead of spending thousands when it wasn't needed.

Paint, symmetrical lighting & complimentary bedding changed the look of this master bedroom.

Master bedroom before had dated faux painting techniques on the walls, poor lighting & bedding that did not compliment the overall look.

This guest bedroom is an inviting space for any and all! By removing dated wall paper, painting the walls and adding complimentary furniture and accessories - this room was transformed! See the "before" picture below!

One of my favorite dining spaces to date...the cheerful green with the contrasting artwork, wainscotting and black dining furniture create a visual contrast that simply works. Accessorizing was easy in this space because of the simple design and color choices.

This dining room was dated with the mauve wallpaper, heavy draperies and an outdated light fixture. With the canvas artwork as our piece of inspiration, it was easy to determine the path this dining room should take. It soon became a memorable space to house memorable times!

The owners of this home couldn't afford to spend more than a few hundred dollars on this kitchen, but they couldn't afford to live with it the way it was either! Paint, paint, paint....

The kitchen cabinetry was refinished, ceilings and walls painted, new hardware installed and the floor and backsplash were tiled with tiles found in a clearance sale! Excluding the cost of the new appliances, this kitchen makeover cost the homeowners approximately $600 and a lot of elbow grease. Well worth the effort....
